On the occassion of the 74th independence day, National Geographic is going to air the two series long show ‘India From Above’. This is a part of National Geographic’s initiative to showcase different parts of the world in it’s true beauty.

The Slumdog Millionaire – Dev Patel will provide narration to the show. India From Above is shot through 4 seasons and over a long one year term in different terrains. With exclusive aerial view, it will showcase the true scenic, scientific, culture and historical heritage of India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Through bird’s eye view along with the latest cinematography, National Geographic has promised to provide some never seen before footage of India that will make the viewer fall in Love, with this magnificent country, all over again.

From the world’s largest gathering of cultural events – the Kumbh Mela, to the modern solar panels Nat Geo’s India From Above will cover the true heritage of India. The epic journey of how India is embarassing it’s past to forge the future will premiere on 14th and 15th August 2020 at 10pm.

The 74th Independence Day of India, to be celebrated on 15th August 2020, holds special significance as it reminds us of the fierce struggle and the glorious past of India. It reminds us that no matter the hurdle, India has always been victorious through unflinching courage and determination.

Amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Independence Day celebration in the capital will see a new normal. The rehearsals continue following strict norms – wearing masks, social distancing, avoiding large gatherings and strict security.

Independence Day 2020 will be celebrated in Delhi starting with the ceremony at Red Fort which includes the presentation of the Guard Of Honour by the Armed Forces and the Delhi Police Force to our honourable Prime Minister. Following this, the national flag will be unfurled accompanied by playing the nation anthem and the 21-gun salute. Further, the Prime Minister will address this great nation through the Independence Day Speech, followed by singing the National Anthem and thereafter, releasing of the tri-coloured ballons.
